Watch Ads to Earn Minutes and Texts

Note: This update is exclusive to users in the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom.

We're happy to share that we are offering ways for our users to earn Minutes and Texts on the Phoner app.

What are Ads about?

We are offering a way for users to earn Minutes and Texts on our app to try out the Phoner app. By watching a 30 second ad, users can earn Minutes and Texts that can be used to call and text on our app.

How can I watch an ad?

For users in United States, Canada and United Kingdom

1. Launch the Phoner app.
2. Go to the ‘Account' tab.
3. Under ‘Your balance’, tap on 'Earn minutes' or 'Earn texts' buttons to earn Minutes and Texts respectively.
4. Confirm that you would like to watch an ad. A 30-second ad should launch.
5. Once the ad has completed, a pop up should appear informing that you have earned a Minute or Text successfully.

Why can’t I watch ads?

There may be times when an ad is not available to watch. We seek your kind patience to try again at a later time. If the issue persists where you are unable to view ads on your Phoner app, there are a few things that can help:

• Make sure you have a stable/strong connection to the Internet (WiFi is recommended)
• Close apps that are running in the background
• Check that you have enabled all permissions on Phoner app and lift any privacy settings/settings on your mobile device that might be preventing you from viewing ads

I don't see the option to watch ads.

If you are unable to find the option to watch ads i.e. no 'Earn Minutes' or 'Earn Texts' button from the 'Account' tab, it is because this offer is only available to users from the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom who have not purchased a Phoner number with us.

I don't want to watch any ads on Phoner. What can I do?

If you find that ads are disrupting your experience, here's what you can do:

Option 1: Purchase a Phoner number

Purchasing a Phoner number, whether via a subscription or via Credits, will eliminate all ads on the app. See How to buy a Phoner number?

Option 2: Purchase an ad-free plan

We are offering ad-free plans so that you can enjoy a clutter-free Phoner experience.

These are one-time purchases that will expire after the purchased duration, and do not auto-renew. Should you wish to continue the ad-free experience, you can purchase the desired ad-free plan again.

Ad-free plans will allow you to continue watching ads if you wish to earn Minutes / Texts and Credits.

1. Launch the Phoner app.
2. Go to the ‘Account' tab.
3. Next to the 'Phoner' title at the top left, tap on 'Go Ad-free'.
4. A screen showing the available ad-free plans should appear.
5. Tap on your desired ad-free duration.
6. Once the purchase is successful, a pop up should appear informing that you have started an ad-free experience.
7. Enjoy a clutter-free Phoner experience!
