If there is a particular contact number that you are unable to text, there is a possibility that your contact has blocked you. Alternatively, you may have accidentally blocked them as well.
This is especially true if you are still able to send and receive texts from all other numbers as per normal. However, you are experiencing texting issues on one particular number.
To check that you have not blocked your contact accidentally, follow the steps in How to block someone from calling or texting me?
If you are still unable to receive incoming texts, you can try the following steps:
Ask your contact to reach out to their carrier provider.
There may be times that the block is placed from the carrier's end. Find out from your contact that their carrier is not blocking your Phoner number.
Ask your contact to send the following messages to your Phoner number.
- Message 1:
AVSTART
- Message 2:
START
These messages should remove any manual blocks that your contact has placed. See AVSTOP "If you no longer want to receive messages or calls from this number..."
