To buy a Phoner number on iOS, Android app:
- Launch the Phoner app.
- Go to the ‘Account’ tab.
- Tap on the circle '+' button at the bottom right.
- Select the Country -> State -> Area Code -> followed by the number you want.
- You should now be brought to a subscription screen if the number you picked is eligible for subscription purchase. Here, you can start an automatic renewing subscription so that you do not lose your number.
- Otherwise, you can also get the number under a one-time purchase using credits. To do this, tap on 'No Thanks, I prefer to use credits' at the bottom of the screen -> and you should be brought to a page showing you the various options for buying using Credits.
- As phone number availability changes every second, complete your purchase as soon as possible to ensure you get the phone number you want.
To buy a Phoner number on Web app:
- Launch the Phoner Web app (https://phonerapp.com/messaging)
- Go to Actions > "Get Premium Number" > "Get".
- Select the Country -> State -> Area Code -> followed by the number you want.
- You should now be brought to a subscription screen if the number you picked is eligible for subscription purchase. Here, you can start an automatic renewing subscription so that you do not lose your number.

Common Questions About Buying a Phoner number
I'm trying to purchase a Phoner number with Credits. Why am I being prompted to top up my Credits?
When you have a sufficient Credit balance on your Phoner account for your selected duration for the Phoner number, then your Credits will be deducted automatically.
Otherwise, the app will prompt that you do not have sufficient Credits to complete the purchase, and hence will require a Credit top up.
What's the difference between buying a Phoner number versus using the Free Number?
The Free Number has two key limitations:
- Firstly, it is anonymous and appears as a different number for each recipient. As a result, you can't share the number with your contacts.
- Secondly, the Free Number has a limit on the maximum number of recipients. As a result, you will only be able to contact a limited number of recipients.
With a premium Phoner number, you can share your number freely and text or call as many recipients as needed - just like a real mobile number.
